Shaping the future of research in Acute Medicine
We are bringing patients, carers and healthcare professionals together across the UK to identify and prioritise the questions that matter most to Acute Medicine research.
The Society for Acute Medicine is partnering in a James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership (PSP) to create a shared set of priorities for future research — shaped by the people who receive and deliver acute medical care.
This is an opportunity to help decide which questions Acute Medicine research should answer next — ensuring future research reflects the experiences and priorities of patients, carers and the people delivering acute medical care.
How will the Priority Setting Partnership work?
A James Lind Alliance PSP uses a structured and transparent process to identify the unanswered research questions that matter most.

Join the Steering Group
The Steering Group will oversee the process of identifying and prioritising the most important unanswered research questions in Acute Medicine.
We are seeking people from different professional backgrounds, career stages and parts of the UK. Prior research experience is not required.
