Trainee Representative

Latif is currently working as the Chief Registrar for Specialist Medicine at University Hospitals Leicester and as a Trainee Rep at the SAM council and the RCP Trainee Committee. He is extremely passionate about Acute Medicine and is very keen to contribute towards helping Acute Medicine flourish further as a specialty within UK and is also extremely keen on spreading the excellence of Acute Medicine as a specialty to outside UK, specially to his home country Bangladesh (he is also working as the Secretary for International Affairs at the Acute and Critical Care Physicians’ Foundation, Bangladesh). 


He has got special interests in medical education (currently doing an MSc in Med Ed at University of Nottingham) and Point of Care Ultrasound and Echo (being a FAMUS supervisor, FUSIC heart mentor and the POCUS teaching programme co-lead within Specialist Medicine, University Hospitals Leicester).

Outside work, he absolutely loves spending time with his family members and sees his father as his role model in his life.
