The Conference “Medicine: Past, Present and Future – 100 Years of Progress in the Postgraduate Medical Journal” will be held at the Royal Society of Medicine on 2 December 2025 to mark the journal’s centenary. Organised by the Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine, this landmark conference celebrates a century of medical advancement as documented in the Postgraduate Medical Journal. The programme features four themed sessions beginning with reflections on the historic contributions of both the Fellowship and the Journal.
Clinical sessions will cover best practices in managing conditions such as asthma, hypertensive emergencies, methanol poisoning, pulmonary embolism, acute stroke, febrile neutropenia, hyperosmolar hyperglycaemic state, and acute liver failure. With expert speakers from leading institutions and opportunities for networking, the conference will honour the Journal’s legacy while showcasing progress and priorities for modern acute and internal medicine.
