Gordon McKinnon

Trainee Representative

Gordon McKinnon studied Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and is now an Acute Medicine registrar in the West of Scotland.  He loves the breadth of Acute Medicine and enjoys sharing this passion with junior colleagues.  His specialist skill is point-of-care ultrasound, and he is also passionate about supporting wellbeing at work.  He was the first Scottish takeAIM fellow and enjoyed spreading his enthusiasm for Acute Medicine while managing their social media accounts.  He is proud to have helped organise the 2022 takeAIM National Conference, which was attended by trainees from all over the UK and was well-received.  Outside of medicine he is a keen amateur baker and enjoys seeing the latest musicals at the theatre.
