Bethan Griffith

Beth Griffith

Representative to Training and Education Committee

Beth is a Consultant Acute Physician at Mid Cheshire Hospitals, where she is the local QI and SAMBA lead with a particular interest in sustainable quality improvement (SusQI). She is also POCUS co-lead, accredited in both FICE and FAMUS. Alongside her clinical role, she has been the AIM Education Co-Lead for the deanery since 2024 and sit on the IMPACT course development group.

Her involvement with the Society for Acute Medicine began as a takeAIM fellow, before becoming a New Consultant Representative. During that time, she was part of the team that developed AWESAM, the society’s leadership course for senior registrars—an initiative inspired by her own experience of navigating the challenges of transition to consultancy. Beth has also contributed to the SAM QI Committee, previously led the ecoSAM initiative, and represented the society at UKHACC.

Beth is passionate about embedding education into daily practice for all members of the Acute Medical MDT and is always happy to hear new ideas or initiatives—please feel free to get in touch via education@acutemedicine.org.uk.

Outside of work, she enjoys travel and being outdoors, especially on beaches or in the mountains with her spaniel.
