We are delighted to announce that bookings are now open for a new online course ‘Moving on Up’ which will be of great interest to senior trainees and recently appointed consultants. This new event has been curated by our Recently Appointed Consultants’ Committee.
The morning sessions will help prepare the senior trainees for their step into the role of a consultant and will include the following topics
• Preparing for application and interview
• What is a job plan?
• Panel Discussion – How to get the job you want as a consultant
• Quality Improvement and achieving work-life and work-work balance
In the afternoon the sessions will focus on career progression within your consultant role. Here will be a choice of sessions to give the attendees a broader understanding about the directions they can take their consultant career. There will be parallel sessions on education, research, management as well as working in other organisations. The webinar will end with a talk about the role of the consultant and working with management.
Our excellent speakers include: Dr Caroline Whitworth, NHS Lothian, Dr David Connell, Dundee, Dr Chris Schofield, NHS Tayside, Dr Sue Pound, NHS Fife and Dr Anna Olsson-Brown, University Hospitals Sussex Foundation Trust.
