Michael Wheble

Mike is a Consultant in Acute Medicine at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, he graduated in 2003 from Leicester University. He completed a Masters in Medical leadership during his Registrar training in the Wessex Deanery.
Mike was appointed a Consultant in 2015, he has been a member of SAM for nearly 10 years and was the local organiser for the conference in Bournemouth in September 2018. Mike joined the SAM council as Treasurer in November 2019. Mike holds the role of GIM Training Programme Director in Wessex and is passionate about supporting and developing the next generation of Acute Physicians, he is proud to be a takeAIM champion.
Outside of Medicine Mike enjoys travelling with his wife, beach walks with their West Highland Terrier ‘Toffee’ and playing Cricket for the local hospital team.
