SAMBA

Registration for Winter SAMBA24 is now open!

Join us for a Winter Snapshot Society for Acute Medicine Benchmarking Audit 2024 on 22nd February 2024.

We know that winter is a busy time of year for all who work in acute medicine and all those involved in the care of acutely unwell patients. SAMBA24 will help us understand how our acute medicine services are performing in this increased pressures we are facing. We have streamlined our data collection questions, to try to ensure data collection is as easy as possible.

Winter SAMBA24 has a focus on suspected respiratory infection, particularly community acquired pneumonia. Many patients with community acquired pneumonia are managed entirely within acute medicine services, and we need to understand whether management of these patients meet national recommendations currently. We hope that you will be able to work with the respiratory medicine teams at your hospitals to help us evaluate current performance for these patients.

All participants will need to re-register for Winter SAMBA24, through the link below.

Your contact details will be used to contact you for matters related to SAMBA. Users will be registered in batches, prior to the day of data collection.

For Trusts that have more than one hospital, please register each hospital site separately. Please take care to write out the hospital name in full, with no abbreviations.

If you have any questions, please email samba@acutemedicine.org.uk for more information.

We’ll email all registered participants closer to SAMBA day to ensure you have relevant information.

A Caldicott Approval form will need to be completed for Winter SAMBA24, if you did not complete this for SAMBA23.
