Michael Trimble
Northern Ireland Representative
Michael is a Clinical Reader at Queen’s University and a Consultant in Acute Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. He trained in General Internal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics. Having developed an interest in the delivery of acute care, he was appointed as Consultant in Acute Medicine in the Belfast City Hospital – the first such post in Northern Ireland. He has been involved in postgraduate medical training including as TPD for Acute Medicine. In 2016, he moved to his current post where his responsibilities include Internal Medicine, clinical ethics and clinical reasoning.
