Nick Scriven

Dr Nick Scriven is the current Immediate Past President of the Society. He was raised in Norfolk and studied at Leicester University before embarking on his career as a physician. Initially he trained in Respiratory and General Medicine (AIM had not been invented then) he was appointed consultant in Acute and General Medicine in 2001 in Halifax’s Calderdale Hospital and remains in that post today.  Nick has been a member of SAM for over 15 years and has been on council in a variety of roles for over 7 years including the honour of being the Society’s President for 2017-2019.

Out of work, Nick has a family, he is married with grown up children and remains an avid supporter of Norwich City football club!
