SAM outlines concerns ahead of winter to health secretary at launch of Acute Medicine Awareness Week

To coincide with the start of Acute Medicine Awareness Week (21 to 25 September), Dr Susan Crossland, president of the Society for Acute Medicine, and Dr Nick Scriven, immediate past president, wrote to Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, to outline some of their concerns ahead of winter in the NHS.

A copy of the letter (available below) was also issued to Jeremy Hunt, chair of the Health and Social Care Committee, and Jonathan Ashworth, Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
