On International Women’s Day 2019 we welcome delegates to an exciting and innovative symposium addressing how we can celebrate diversity and sustain excellence among our workforce with the driving principle that ‘Our Workforce Matters’.
The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity. This includes valuing and respecting our workforce, fostering resilience, success and mutual support, and promoting pride and professionalism in the workplace.
This symposium will explore and debate some of these key issues and will appeal to healthcare professionals from a variety of disciplines. In both a lecture and workshop setting, speakers will provide delegates with a greater understanding of the topics challenging us today, and suggest strategies to enable each of us as individuals to make a difference in the future.
Key speakers include:
- Professor Jane Norman, Professor of Maternal & Fetal Health, University of Edinburgh
- Dr Emily Shaw, Wellcome Trust Clinical Fellow, University of London & Previous MSF (Doctors without Borders) Volunteer
- Ms Jenny Campbell, CEO, Resilience Engine
