Our goal is to ensure that adult patients coming to hospital with urgent medical needs receive the best care. Key to achieving this is ensuring that all staff working on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) receive high quality training. As such, a large part of our work at SAM is driving improvements in training and education. This section of the website is concerned with the training and education of doctors working in Acute Medicine. Other members of the multidisciplinary team will find material in the relevant sections of the site.

There are three Council members whose primary focus is training for doctors:

• Mike Jones, who is also the chairman of the Acute Medicine Speciality Advisory Committee
• Amy Daniel, trainee representative
