Salford Royal Hospital
Have you ever worried that you’re ordering too many or too few tests in your patients with neurological problems?
This annual one-day update has been designed to provide practical and pragmatic advice for general and acute physicians dealing with patients admitted to hospital with neurological symptoms.
Our target audience is senior decision makers working on the unselected medical take.
The course is curated by a team of neurologists, based at Salford Royal, who aim to design a different theme for the course each year. Previous years have seen the emphasis fall on neurological examination skills, common neurological diseases and acute management of neurological emergencies.
In 2018 the theme for NEANU is ‘use and misuse of neurological investigations’. A series of interactive, case-based workshops will guide attendees through both the pitfalls and optimum use of investigations in acute neurology cases. Key topics will include neuroimaging, CSF tests, nerve conduction studies and EEG.
This year’s plenary session will be delivered by Professor Markus Reuber, an international expert on the tricky issue of “Functional Neurological Disorders”
The cost of the course per attendee is £125. CPD points have been applied for.
